The Waycross Fire Station Headquarters didn't escape Hurricane Helene damage, which was widespread across the city.
The fire safety trailer tipped on its side and the shelter that covered it crumpled to the ground.
The firefighters at the station were expected to stay as others were trapped in their houses as roads were strewn with debris, Waycross Battalion Chief Jim Blackburn told news4JAX.
The radio antenna at the station also fell victim to the fierce winds.
It toppled and landed on firefighters' personal vehicle including Blackburn's.
Operations at the station were not affected.
He added that firefighters were continuing to respond to help residents knowing that their own homes were damaged.
